The FIC inspects accountable institutions for compliance with FIC Act obligations. If non-compliance is found, the FIC may impose administrative sanctions such as a caution, formal reprimand, directive to take remedial action, or a financial penalty (up to R10 million for natural persons and up to R50 million for legal persons).
