CMS provides resources (including an "Understanding TB and PMB entitlements" webpage) to help people understand TB-related medical scheme benefits, promote early diagnosis, and reduce TB spread in communities.
CMS states that TB is a Prescribed Minimum Benefit (PMB) condition, so your medical scheme is legally required to fund TB diagnosis, treatment and care in line with National Department of Health guidelines, including diagnostic investigations, acute management/hospitalisation, transfer to maintenance therapy, and screening/preventive treatment for HIV-positive members.
