Grade 4 and 5 learners who reach a certain level of excellence in a cultural field are awarded Certificates of Merit for "Achievement" and "Exceptional Achievement", with the "Exceptional Achievement" certificate being the highest level of cultural achievement in Grades 4 and 5.
