To keep gatehouse access, applicants must re-apply annually and submit copies of the vehicle licence disc and the driver’s licence. Access is conditional on the driver obeying speed limits and all road rules in Steyn City Parkland Residence; failure results in access being revoked.

College parents can be granted access through the Cedar Road Gatehouse for weekdays in term time from 05H30 to 18H30. If parents need to collect or drop off before or after these times, they must use the Preparatory School entrance. Cedar Road Gatehouse access requires exiting via the Cedar Road Gatehouse, using the direct route to the School, and not accessing Steyn City facilities.

- College parents who need access to Steyn City School via the Cedar Road Gatehouse during the stated times
- How to act on it:
- Obtain application forms from the Preparatory School Reception and submit an annual application for adjudication by the Executive Head and/or Commercial Manager, then final approval by Steyn City Properties.
Students who do not meet subject assessment standards may receive extra lessons from the relevant form and/or subject teacher either before or after school, as group or individual lessons, with no extra charge to parents/guardians.

- How to act on it:
- Attend the extra lessons arranged by the teacher (before or after school) as part of the school’s academic support.
Students who need support attend a formal Academic Support Period and lessons in the College as part of the school’s academic support.

- How to act on it:
- Attend the Academic Support Period and the associated lessons in the College as scheduled in the timetable.
If qualified educational psychologists recommend placement at a remedial school, parents/guardians can make the decision they consider best for their child after exploring all options with the School.

- How to act on it:
- Explore all options with the School after receiving recommendations from qualified educational psychologists, then decide on remedial school placement.
Counselling and therapy are available with parental support, and any professional therapy recommendation requires a full discussion between the teacher, the Deputy Head, and the parents/guardians; if therapy is chosen, regular case discussions are held.

- Students needing professional therapy/counselling; parents/guardians
- How to act on it:
- Provide parental support and participate in the required full discussion between the teacher, the Deputy Head, and the parents/guardians; if therapy is chosen, attend regular case discussions.
Parents/guardians may request a paid arrangement where a teacher offers extra lessons at a cost to the parent; the arrangement must be approved in advance by the Executive Committee.

- Request the arrangement to engage a teacher for extra lessons at a cost to the parent, and obtain advance approval from the Executive Committee.
Remedial Therapy is available in the EYC and Foundation Phase for students who need it.

Weekend or holiday classes may be held to supplement the academic curriculum for students needing support, but they are not an expectation.
