This is an addendum to CapeNature tender WCNCB 19/11/2025 - Draft Regulations. It changes the deadline for submitting project deliverables and final documentation from before 1 August 2026 to before 1 November 2026, with delivery timing and phasing to be agreed at the inception meeting.

Guests visiting the three participating CapeNature reserves can donate clean, gently used clothing, blankets, underarm deodorant or roll-on, and sanitary pads at collection points in the reserves’ reception areas. Food donations are not accepted.

Anyone who sees smoke or a veld fire can report it immediately so firefighting teams have an opportunity to respond before the fire gains momentum.

Members of the public can report suspected rabies cases or seals showing aggressive, disoriented or otherwise concerning behaviour to CapeNature. Where possible, they should provide a video, description and accurate location pin without approaching the seal.

Visitors to De Hoop Nature Reserve can see a new Cape mountain zebra foal that was born about three weeks ago and has joined the reserve's small but vital Cape mountain zebra population.

Visitors can book one of eight eco-cabins located within Rocherpan Nature Reserve. These cabins offer a unique opportunity to stay in a natural setting close to wildlife and scenic views. Reservations are required and must be made through CapeNature's booking system.

Shore angling is permitted in the Rocherpan Marine Protected Area. However, the reserve does not issue permits. Visitors must purchase an angling permit at the nearest post office before fishing.

Visitors can explore the rugged landscape, rock formations, caves, and mountain peaks of the Groot Winterhoek Wilderness Area through hiking. Hiking is allowed on existing and marked footpaths, with the option to stay overnight in the veld after a long hike.
