Children and adolescents aged 6 to 21 with mild to moderate developmental delays or learning challenges can join one of five remedial education centres (Skills 1 to Skills 5). These centres provide individualised programmes focused on sensory-perceptual development, functional literacy and numeracy, life skills, social interaction, and vocational training using a differentiated CAPS curriculum. The programme includes daily movement activities, weekly care circles, and real-world work experience placements. There are no marks or percentages; instead, biannual reports assess personal development.
