Eligible households may be allocated a new house on a greenfield site where there are no pre-existing legal occupants. Selection is based on registration date ordering from the Municipal Housing Demand Database, after pre-screening by the municipality and the Department.

Individuals and households can register for consideration in future state-subsidised housing projects by completing a municipal housing application form.
