International Workshop To Examine The Growing Impact Of Climate Change On Mental Health

This document is an announcement by the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) and the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina about an invitation-only international workshop on the impact of climate change on mental health. The event will take place from 8 to 10 September 2026 at the University of Pretoria and will bring together experts from multiple disciplines to discuss scientific evidence, research gaps, and policy responses. A key outcome will be a collaborative policy brief for use by policymakers in South Africa, Germany, and globally.
