Free basic water allocation
Indigent households are entitled to a certain amount of water per month at no cost, provided their property's municipal value is equal to or below the threshold set by the Council.
The owners and/or occupiers of a beneficiary property shall automatically qualify for free basic services where the municipal value of the land and buildings on such property is equal to, or less than, the value determined by resolution of the Council from time to time, as reflected in the Council's tariffs.
