Scatec Solar Round 4 Reippp Pv Projects

This document is a project profile announcing that the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) provided financial support to three solar photovoltaic projects—Sirius1, Dyason’s Klip 1, and Dyason’s Klip 2—developed by Scatec Solar under Round 4 of South Africa's Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Programme (REIPPP). The projects are located near Upington in the Northern Cape and have a combined capacity of 258 MWp, capable of supplying electricity to about 120,000 homes while reducing carbon emissions. The DBSA's involvement included R676 million in senior debt and R326 million in B-BBEE equity facilities, with the projects reaching financial close in April 2018 and commercial operation between February and April 2020.
