National Appeal Regulations 2014

The National Appeal Regulations 2014 are government regulations issued by the Minister of Environmental Affairs to govern the processing, consideration, and decision-making on appeals under the National Environmental Management Act, 1998. They establish procedures for submitting appeals within 20 days of notification, require responding statements from relevant parties within 20 days, and set timelines for appeal panels and decisions. The regulations replace the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2010, specifically Chapter 7, and came into effect on publication in the Government Gazette on 8 December 2014.
