Emergency Personal Protective Equipment provided to contractors on a cost-recovery basis

Under exceptional emergency circumstances and at the sole discretion of the Business Unit/Centre Manager KLF may provide Personal Protective Equipment to contractors subject to an agreement by the contractor to refund the costs thereof.
Issue of Personal Protective Equipment to affected employees
SAFCOL issues adequate and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to every employee whose work carries residual risks that cannot be eliminated, and instructs each employee on how to wear, use and maintain it and on its limitations. No one may modify or alter the PPE issued to them, and no one may enter an area or do a task requiring PPE unless the PPE is available, in good condition and correctly worn.
Where risks cannot be eliminated, adequate and appropriate items of Personal Protective Equipment shall be issued to all affected employees.
Permission to wear own PPE of a different type or specification at the wearer's own expense
Anyone other than Production Workers and Supervisors who wants to wear Personal Protective Equipment of a different type or specification from the Company issue may do so, at their own cost, as long as the PPE meets the minimum quality requirements of the standard.
Any person excluding Production Workers and Supervisors who wishes to wear Personal Protective Equipment of a different type or specification may do so at his or her own expense provided that the minimum quality requirements specified above are complied with.
