In-service training for final year students
Final year students from the Bergrivier Local Municipality area may be considered for in-service training if it is a requirement for their qualification. The training takes place once a year, mainly during June/July holidays or at the beginning of the academic year. Students will receive a weekly stipend of R300 and must submit an application at least one month in advance. A mentor or evaluator will be assigned where possible, and a work programme with performance objectives must be agreed upon beforehand. A waiver form must be signed by the student, and an evaluation report will be completed by the supervisor and shared with the FET and Municipal Manager.
