Boxing South Africa Concludes Successful National Ring Officials Seminar

This is a news/media statement from Boxing South Africa (BSA) reporting on the successful conclusion of its National Ring Officials Seminar. The seminar took place from 17 to 19 July 2026 at the Sapphire Hotel in Bloemfontein and brought together ring officials from all nine provinces. Delegates launched the Association of Ring Officials, adopted its Constitution, elected its inaugural National Executive Committee (Mr Thabo Spampool as National Chairperson), and approved measures including a reintroduced structured grading system, proposed amendments to the Boxing Regulations of 2004, and a strengthened Code of Conduct. The statement also notes discussions on ring officials’ welfare (travel/accommodation support, occupational insurance, and enhanced licensing benefits) and that BSA and the new Executive Committee will implement the seminar resolutions.
