Reapplication for rebate benefits (affected categories)

If you currently receive a municipal rebate in one of the listed categories, you must reapply so your rebate continues from 1 July 2026. Reapplication forms can be downloaded from the municipal website or collected from municipal offices, and completed forms must be submitted at your nearest municipal office or emailed to income.enquiries@sbm.gov.za. If you do not reapply by the deadline, your rebate will not be extended beyond 1 July 2026.

Applicants/re-applicants for rebate benefits in the affected categories (Indigent Subsidy, Residential Accommodation Business, Public Benefit Organisation, Pensioners, Agricultural (properties used for bona fide farming activities))

How to act on it

Download the application forms from www.sbm.gov.za or collect them from the nearest municipal offices; complete the prescribed application form(s) and attach the required supporting documentation; submit the completed forms at your nearest municipal office or email them to income.enquiries@sbm.gov.za.
