Masakhisizwe Bursary Programme Student Support Programmes

This document is a Western Cape Government webpage describing the student support programmes under the Masakh’iSizwe Bursary Programme. It outlines mentoring for first-year students (social adjustment and academic support), including tutorial classes to address the academic gap between secondary and higher education. It also lists employability skills (e.g., driving lessons, CV and report writing, English proficiency), an outreach programme for learners in underprivileged communities (focused on maths/science/engineering/technology), health and wellness services (including awareness of diabetes, HIV/AIDS, cholesterol, and high blood pressure), and an in-service training/graduate placement programme with the Department of Infrastructure and private sector companies.
