Data sources and freshness

Govermate reads public government and public-sector sources, then normalises records so they can be searched, watched, cited, and compared in one place. Some sources are structured and reliable. Others are PDFs, pages, notices, or feeds that change format. Govermate records source links, extracted facts, classifications, and processing state so issues can be reviewed. Freshness depends on the source, ingestion schedule, source availability, and whether a document could be fetched and read. A record can be useful even when one field is missing, but the official source remains the final reference. Use the report-problem option when a date, link, category, province, or classification looks wrong.
